Born in Wichita Falls, Texas of Syrian descent, my father's work assignments afforded my family the luxury of travel around the world. In the early '70's my father's work took us to Libya for 3 years. I learned to speak some Arabic while living there. Eventually, I was cast as a young lady stunt rider in the film 'Mohammed, the Messenger of God' which was being filmed in the desert at the time. Some Arabic family friends began to teach me the ancient art form of Belly Dance. After many years spent in the theatre in New York City honing my acting craft I moved back to Texas in the mid-90's. I recently joined the 'Shimmers in the Sand' belly dance troupe in January 2015 where I am currently learning and furthering my belly dance technique. I love and admire the ladies in this troupe. I continue to occasionally perform on stage as an actress and I love to dance for a good cause. Truthfully, I just love to dance!

Bella, is enjoying her of retirement from the San Antonio Police Department.
Like many, she was attracted to this exotic type of dance because of its complexity and sensual moves. Learning to perfect her belly rolls and shimmies, is what keeps Bella coming back for more lessons. Bella's goal is to "mesmerize husband #2 into her beck and call"!
